The application notice & Scrap standards of lifting chains

Lifting chains are generally divided into high-strength for mining, German standard long-loop chains, metallurgical chains, mining chains, and stainless steel chains. The main lifting chains are EN818 standard chains, grade 80 American standard chains, and T (8)lifting chain, 80 lifting sling chain, V (10) lifting chain (black), T (8) lifting chain (galvanized), etc. The diameter range is Φ6-Φ48. Chains with different parameters can also be made according to requirements.

Application Notice of lifting chains:
     1. Check whether the lifting chain is cracked.
     2. Test the chain before loading.
     3. When using a lifting chain, avoid contact with corrosive and strong oxidizing substances to avoid damaged.
     4. Clean up the dirt and impurities in time to keep the chain clean and dry after using.
     5. When the chain is not in use, it should be regularly coated with anti-rust oil, so that the chain will not rust and corrode when being used in next time.
     6. It is strictly forbidden to overload the lifting chain.
     The lifting chain is an indispensable part of the crane, pay attention to details in the selection, or it will easily cause serious consequences.

Scrap standards for lifting chains:

1. The allowable wear value of the lifting chain must not exceed 10% of the diameter of the bar material or the thickness.
2. Calculated from the plane where the main ring is not bent, the main ring twisted more than 10 degrees should be scrapped.
3. It is forbidden to use it when cracks, bends or twists appear in any part of the chain.
4. The permanent elongation of the lifting chain and single link shall not exceed 5% of the original length.
