Function and role

The casing of mining transformer is full-corrugated, with two sides open cover and open cover structure, which has the advantages of high mechanical strength, low temperature rise and good heat dissipation effect. The iron core is made of high-quality low-loss silicon steel sheet with low no-load loss, low no-load current and low noise. It adopts H-class insulation material and advanced insulation structure, which has good thermal stability and can continuously run at full load under high temperature.

Classification

Divided into two general categories of mining general transformers and mining flameproof transformers.
Mine general transformer
Used in mines where there is coal dust and biogas without the danger of explosion. The power supply is used for driving and lighting. This transformer is oil-immersed. Its internal structure and working principle are the same as ordinary oil-immersed power transformers. The main difference is the housing and the entry and exit devices.
The general transformers for mining use have a solid structure and a low profile. There is no oil storage tank on the upper part of the transformer, and proper space is left in the oil surface of the oil tank to prevent excessive pressure from being generated in the oil tank when the vent hole on the tank cover is blocked. The mechanical strength of the fuel tank can withstand a pressure of 0.1 MPa without permanent deformation. The high- and low-voltage incoming and outgoing lines of the mining transformer are all cable junction boxes, which are filled with insulating glue.
The capacity of mining general transformers are 50, 100, 180 and 320 kVA. There is non-excitation voltage regulation on the primary side of the transformer, the voltage regulation range is ± 5%; the secondary side coil leads out 6 terminals, which can be connected Y / △ to get 690/400 V or 1200/690 V.

Mine flameproof transformer
Used in mines where there is danger of explosion. This type of transformer is mostly made of dry type. The main structural feature is that all joint surfaces of the box shell are made according to flameproof requirements and can withstand an internal pressure of 0.8 MPa.
The capacity of mining dry-type transformers are usually 4 kVA and 2.5 kVA, which are used to supply power for electric drills, lighting, signal and other equipment. Its incoming and outgoing wires are led out by the outgoing sleeve. The primary voltage is 380 volts and 660 volts; the secondary voltage is generally 133 volts.
Satons flameproof transformers with a capacity of more than 100 kVA are often combined with flameproof switch boxes to form a flameproof complete mobile substation. Its output voltage is 400 volts, 690 volts and 1200 volts to meet the needs of mine electrical equipment. In order to adapt to tunnel transportation, the height of the transformer structure must be low. In this way, the diameter of the iron pillar can be larger, and cold-rolled silicon steel sheets are generally used. 100 kVA and above are usually Class H insulation.
