Good product, good way

Core type transformer

The core transformer structure is relatively simple, the distance between the high-voltage winding and the iron core is relatively long, and the insulation is easier to handle. Therefore, the core of the power transformer is generally manufactured as a core type.

Definition

The iron core is the magnetic circuit part of the transformer. The energy of the primary circuit is converted into magnetic energy, and the magnetic energy of the primary circuit is converted into the electrical energy of the secondary circuit, which is the medium for energy conversion. The iron core includes two parts, an iron core post and an iron yoke. The core post is covered with windings, and an iron yoke connects the core posts to form a closed magnetic circuit. The core structure of the transformer, its winding and insulation assembly is relatively easy, power transformers often use this structure.

Features

1. High efficiency, high quality materials.

2. Low working temperature and long service life.

3. Good insulation and high resistance to electric power.

4. Good anti-interference performance and high reliability.

5. Low energy consumption and high dc superposition.

Function and role

The structural characteristics of the three-phase core transformer are that the three-phase magnetic circuits are connected together, and the magnetic flux of each phase uses the other two-phase magnetic circuits as its own circuit. Compared with the shell type transformer, it has the most widely used due to its less material consumption, cheap price, small floor area, simple maintenance and other advantages. However, in large-capacity giant transformers, in order to facilitate transportation and reduce standby capacity, three-phase group transformers are often used.

Classification

According to the core structure, power transformers are divided into core transformers and shell transformers.

The structure of the shell transformer is relatively sturdy, the manufacturing process is more complicated, the distance between the high-voltage winding and the iron core post is close, and the insulation treatment is difficult. The shell structure is easy to strengthen the mechanical support for the winding, so that it can withstand large electromagnetic forces, and is especially suitable for transformers that pass large currents.

The core transformer structure is relatively simple, the distance between the high-voltage winding and the iron core is relatively long, and the insulation is easier to handle. Therefore, the core of the power transformer is generally manufactured as a core type.

For single-phase shell transformer cores, all windings are placed on the middle iron core post. The two branch iron core posts surround the outer side of the winding like a “shell”, so it is called a shell transformer. However, it is sometimes called a single-phase three-post transformer.

The core of a three-phase shell-type transformer can be considered as being composed of three independent single-phase shell-type transformers put together side by side.
