Features

When the circuit is short-circuited or overloaded, the large current flowing through the self-recovery fuse, the generated heat melts the polymer resin, and the volume grows rapidly, forming a high-resistance state, and the operating current is rapidly reduced, thereby limiting and protecting the circuit .

When the fault is removed, the self-recovery fuse cools and crystallizes again, the volume shrinks, conductive particles re-form a conductive path, and the self-recovery fuse returns to a low-resistance state, thereby completing the protection of the circuit without manual replacement.

Principle

The body forms a chain-like conductive path with the resin-based link, and the fuse works normally; when the circuit is short-circuited or overloaded, the large current flowing through the fuse increases its temperature collection, and when it reaches the Curie temperature, its state density decreases rapidly. The phase change increases, the internal conductive link changes or breaks in an avalanche state, the fuse moves to a high resistance state in a stepped manner, and the current is quickly clipped, thereby quickly and accurately limiting and protecting the circuit. Its tiny current Keep the fuse in a protected state. When the power is turned off and the fault is eliminated, the temperature collection decreases, the state density increases, the phase transition recovers, the nanocrystals are restored to a chain-shaped conductive path, and the self-recovery fuse returns to the normal state without manual replacement.

Application

The resettable fuse is connected in series in the DC / AC power circuit. DIP direct plug-in type or SMD surface mount type can be selected. PPTC has no positive and negative polarities. Because PPTC is in a protected state, the surface temperature is high and it should be installed in a ventilated state. Next, do not directly contact the PPTC with high temperature sensitive components.
