TPU (Thermoplastic polyurethanes) is called thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer rubber. It is mainly divided into polyester type and polyether type.
The main characteristics of TPU are:
Wide range of hardness: By changing the ratio of each reaction component of TPU, products with different hardness can be obtained, and as the hardness increases, its product still maintains good elasticity and abrasion resistance.
High mechanical strength: TPU products have outstanding bearing capacity, impact resistance and shock absorption performance.
Outstanding cold resistance: The glass transition temperature of TPU is relatively low, and it still maintains good elasticity, flexibility and other physical properties at minus 35 degrees.
Good processing performance: TPU can be processed by common thermoplastic material processing methods, such as injection molding, extrusion, calendaring, and so on. At the same time, co-processing of TPU with certain polymer materials can yield polymer alloys with complementary properties.
Oil, water and mold resistant.
Good recyclability.
Uses of various TPU molded products: phone case Car parts Ball coupling; dust cover; pedal brake; door lock striker; bushing Leaf spring bushings; bearings; shock-proof parts; internal and external decorative parts; snow chains, etc. Machinery and industrial parts Various gears; seals (mainly for abrasion and oil resistance); shock-proof parts; mold pins; bushes; bearings Covers; connectors; rubber screens; printing rubber rollers, etc. Clothing accessories Women’s bra shoulder straps, clothing elastic bands, etc. Footwear Softball shoes, baseball shoes, golf shoes, football shoe soles and forefoot Women’s heels; ski boots; safety boots, high-end soles, etc. TPU environmental protection floor For various sports floors and commercial floors, the physical properties of TPU determine that the wear resistance and environmental protection of TPU products are higher than those of PVC products.
