Screen Printers

A screen printing machine is a machine that uses a screen printing plate, and belongs to a type of printing machine. Screen printing machine is a machine that prints text and images and is a general term for machines or equipment used to produce printed matter. Screen printing machines are the most representative printing equipment in stencil printing machines. In addition to silk, the materials used for making screens can also be nylon, copper, steel or stainless steel.

Definitions and materials

A screen printing machine is a machine that uses a screen printing plate, and belongs to a type of printing machine. Screen printing machine is a machine that prints text and images and is a general term for machines or equipment used to produce printed matter. Screen printing machines are the most representative printing equipment in stencil printing machines. In addition to silk, the materials used for making screens can also be nylon, copper, steel or stainless steel. Can be divided into flat screen printers, curved screen printers, rotary screen printers and so on.

Classification

Screen printing can be divided into many types according to its layout, the type of printing machine, the nature of the ink, and the type of substrate, but the printing methods can be divided into the following.
1. Flat screen flat screen printing: Flat screen flat screen printing machine is a method of printing on flat substrates with flat screen plates. During printing, the printing plate is fixed and the ink scraping plate is moved.

2. Flat screen curved screen printing: Flat screen curved screen printing is a method in which flat screen printing plates are printed on curved substrates (such as balls, cylinders, cylinders, etc.). When printing, the squeegee is fixed, the printing plate moves in the horizontal direction, and the substrate rotates with the printing plate.

3. Rotary screen printing: Rotary screen printing is a cylinder screen plate. A fixed squeegee is installed in the cylinder. The cylinder plate and the substrate are printed at the same line speed.
4. Indirect screen printing.

Printing machine classification
① Flat screen printing machine. A flat screen printing plate is used to print on a flat substrate. Generally, the squeegee moves horizontally against the printing plate, and the printing plate is replaced by the printing plate up and down.

② Curved screen printing machine. The flat screen printing plate is used to print on the round substrate. Generally, the squeegee is fixed, the printing plate moves horizontally, and the printing material rotates with the linear speed of the printing plate.

③ Rotary screen printing machine. A cylindrical screen plate is used, and a wedge-shaped squeegee or a squeegee roller is installed inside the cylinder. The printing plate rotates at the same linear speed as the substrate moves.

④ electrostatic screen printing machine. Using a highly conductive stainless steel screen plate, the static electricity between the positive and negative electrode plates drives the ink through the through-hole portion of the printing plate to attach to the surface of the substrate, which is pressureless printing. The shape of the machine varies from substrate to substrate, but generally includes the substrate input section, printing section, ink fixing and drying section, and substrate collection section. The printing part consists of a screen printing plate, an electrode plate, and a high-voltage generating device.

⑤ Electrostatic screen printing: Electrostatic screen printing is a method of transferring ink from the screen printing surface to the printing surface by using electrostatic attraction. This is a non-contact printing method. It uses a conductive metal screen as the printing plate. It is connected to the positive pole of the high voltage power supply; the negative pole is a metal plate parallel to the printing plate; the substrate is between two levels. When printing, the toner on the printing plate is positively charged when passing through the mesh, and is attracted by the negative charge, scattered on the printing surface, and then fixed by heating and other methods to form a print. This method is mainly used for printing on high-temperature substrates such as steel plates.

Function and characteristics

The screen printing machine is a representative printing equipment in the stencil printing machine. Its printing plate is a crisscross screen with clear warp and weft woven from silk and other materials. A variety of screen printing machines have been produced, including flat, curved, forming, printing and dyeing, printed circuits and new types of rotary printing. Among them, the new rotary screen printing machine is relatively high in speed and productivity. It is characterized by the screen installed on the cylinder and the ink poured into the cylinder. When the machine is working, the cylinder rotates, and the rubber squeegee quickly prints the pattern on the printed matter.
In addition to silk, the silk screen can be made of nylon, copper, steel or stainless steel.
