Tongue slot machine is a kind of woodworking machine tool for processing rectangular tongue groove or waist circular tongue groove on wood. The main types are: chain tenon slot machine, square chisel tenon slot machine, waist round tenon slot machine.
Chain mortising machine The electric motor drives the cutting chain (chain with cutter teeth) to rotate on the tool holder through the gearbox and sprocket, and the wood is clamped on the workbench. During processing, the tool holder with the cutting chain descends to a certain depth to mill a rectangular tongue and groove. When machining long grooves, the table can be moved and the cutting chain can be lowered several times. Chain-type tenon-groove machines have higher production efficiency, but the processing accuracy is not high. Most of them are used in the construction industry to process door and window tenon-grooves.
Square Chisel Groove Machine A hollow square chisel with a drill bit inside is fixed on the tool holder, and the cutting edge of the drill bit slightly protrudes from the cutting edge of the square chisel. During processing, the square chisel and the drill bit descend together. The drill bit rotates to drill a circular hole, and the square chisel cuts the circular hole into a square shape. When machining long grooves, the movable table can be repeatedly cut several times. The tool feed mode is manual, pneumatic or hydraulic. This tongue and groove machine can process through-hole and non-through-hole tongue and groove, with high machining accuracy, and is mostly used in the furniture industry.
Waist mortising machine The milling cutter shaft is rotated by a motor. The main shaft can be quickly swung according to the length of the waist circular groove. The workpiece is clamped on the table for feeding movement, and can be used to process waist circular mortise grooves with specified length and depth at one time. It is mainly used in the furniture industry.
