Function and role

The flash relay is the central control component that emits a light signal when the car turns and brakes. When the car brakes without turning, it can control the circuit to turn on the left and right rear lights and the trailer lights, and emit a braking signal. When the car turns and brakes, it can control the circuit to turn the front, rear, and trailer lights of the steering side A flash signal is issued to indicate the turn, while the rear lights and trailer lights on the other side are only on without flashing to indicate braking. When the car turns, it controls the circuit to make the front, rear and trailer lights on the steering side emit a flash signal To show the turn.

Structure

The flasher is designed with a new type of circuit, which is composed of a low-voltage switching circuit, a high-voltage switching circuit, a pulse generating circuit, a two-pole amplified double-tube output circuit, and two sets of light indicating circuits. Install it in the body of the flasher. Through its control, it can accurately indicate the driving direction of the car. It has the feature of automatic protection. It can automatically stop the flasher and the bulb when the circuit is short-circuited. The installed faults indicate the working status of the visual flasher and can detect and eliminate faults at any time. According to its structure and working principle, the flasher is divided into three types: electric heating type, capacitive type and electronic type.

Classfication

(1) Capacitive flasher
(2) Wing flasher
(3) Electronic flasher

Capacitive flasher
Capacitor flash structure: consists of a relay and a capacitor. A series coil and a parallel coil are wound on the iron core of the relay, and the capacitor uses a large-capacity electrolytic capacitor (about 1500uF).
The working principle of the capacitive flasher: using the charging and discharging delay characteristics of the capacitor, the electromagnetic attraction generated by the two coils of the relay is sometimes added and sometimes subtracted, and the relay generates a periodic switching action, which causes the turn signal lamp to blink.

Wing flasher
The structure of the fin-type flasher is composed of fins, thermal expansion strips, moving contacts, static contacts and brackets. The wings are made of elastic steel, which is usually stretched into a bow shape by the thermal expansion strip. The thermal expansion strip is made of an alloy rigid band with a large expansion coefficient.
The working principle of the wing-type flasher: the wing-type flasher uses the thermal effect of current to drive the thermal expansion and contraction of the thermal expansion bar to make the fins abruptly move, turn on and off the contacts, and make the turn signal light blink .

Electronic flasher
Electronic flasher structure: composed of a triode switching circuit, capacitor and relay.
Electronic flasher working principle: The electronic flasher uses the switching characteristics of the transistor, the charging and discharging delay characteristics of the capacitor to control the relay coil to turn on and off, and to turn on and off the contacts to make the turn signal lamp blink. Electronic flashers are widely used in automobile turn signal systems because of their reliable operation and long service life. Electronic flashers are divided into contact and non-contact, integrated circuits and transistors and other forms.
