Airport rescue fire trucks with rear engines often use this type. This arrangement can reduce the center of gravity of the entire vehicle and also facilitate the maintenance of the water pump.
Generally speaking, water supply fire trucks can be divided into four parts according to their functions. The front part of the fire truck is the cab, where the driver and commander sit in the cab; behind the cab is the position of other firefighters. Various tools, including faucets and fire hoses, are placed behind the first rolling shutter of the vehicle body. Behind these tools is a water tank for storing fire water. Near the rear of the fire truck is the pump compartment. As the name suggests, this is where the pumps for pumping are located. Generally, there are roller shutters on three sides of the pump cabin.
