Classification and characteristics

Molecular distillation equipment
Molecular distillation is also called short-path distillation. It is a relatively new liquid-liquid separation technology that has not been widely used in industrial production. Its application can solve a lot of problems that cannot be solved by conventional distillation technology.
Compared with conventional distillation technology, molecular distillation has the following characteristics:
1. Ordinary distillation is performed at the boiling point temperature: molecular distillation can be separated at any temperature as long as the temperature difference between the cold and hot sides is sufficient. So the molecular distillation operation temperature is much lower than the boiling point of the material.
2. Ordinary distillation has bubbling. Boiling phenomenon: while molecular distillation is the free evaporation of the surface of the liquid film. The operating pressure is very low. Generally it is on the order of 0.1-1 Pa and the heating time is very short. Usually only ten seconds to tens of seconds.
3. The evaporation and condensation of ordinary distillation is a reversible process. The liquid phase and the gas phase are in a dynamic phase equilibrium, and in the process of molecular distillation, the molecules that escape from the heating surface fly directly to the condensation surface. Theoretically there is no return to the heating surface The possibility of molecular distillation is not easy to separate.
A complete set of molecular distillation equipment mainly includes: molecular evaporator, degassing system, feeding system, heating system, cooling vacuum system and control system. The core part of the molecular distillation device is the molecular evaporator, which mainly has three types: (1) falling film type: early form, simple structure, but because of the liquid film thickness and poor efficiency, it is rarely used in countries around the world today; (2) ) Squeegee type: thin liquid film, high separation efficiency, but more complicated structure than falling film type; (3) centrifugal type: film formation by centrifugal force, thin film, high evaporation efficiency, but complex structure, difficult vacuum sealing, equipment The manufacturing cost is high. In order to improve the separation efficiency, it is often necessary to use multiple stages in series to achieve the multi-stage separation of different substances.
1. Falling film molecular still
The device adopts gravity to make the material on the evaporation surface become a liquid film and drop. When the material is heated, the vapor can condense on the condensation surface in the opposite direction. The falling film device is an early form, with a simple structure, a thick liquid film formed on the evaporation surface, and poor efficiency, which is rarely used in various countries.
2. Scrape film molecular distillation device
It uses gravity to make the material on the evaporation surface become a liquid film and lower it. However, in order to make the thickness of the liquid film on the evaporation surface small and uniformly distributed, a hard carbon or polytetrafluoroethylene rotating scraper is set in the still. board. The scraper can not only fully stir the lower liquid layer, but also speed up the renewal of the liquid layer on the evaporation surface, thereby strengthening the heat and mass transfer process of the material. Its advantages are: the thickness of the liquid film is small, and it flows along the evaporation surface; the residence time of the material to be distilled at the operating temperature is short, the danger of thermal decomposition is small, the distillation process can be carried out continuously, and the production capacity is large. Disadvantages are: the liquid distribution device is difficult to perfect, it is difficult to ensure that all evaporation surfaces are uniformly covered by the liquid film; the rolling phenomenon often occurs when the liquid flows, and the generated mist often splashes on the condensation surface. However, due to its relatively simple structure and relatively low price, the device is mostly used in laboratories and industrial production.
3. Centrifugal molecular distillation device
This device sends the material to the center of the high-speed rotating turntable and expands to form a film on the rotating surface. At the same time, it heats and evaporates to condense with the opposite condensing surface. This device is an ideal molecular distillation device. However, compared with the other two devices, a high-speed rotating turntable is required, and a higher vacuum sealing technology is required. The centrifugal molecular still has the following advantages compared with the wiped-film molecular still: due to the high-speed rotation of the turntable, an extremely thin liquid film can be obtained and the liquid film is more uniformly distributed, and the evaporation rate and separation efficiency are better; the material is on the evaporation surface The heating time is shorter, which reduces the risk of thermal decomposition of heat-sensitive materials; the material handling capacity is larger, which is more suitable for continuous production in industry.

Alcohol distillation equipment
Features: First, energy saving. High-efficiency and low-resistance plate type is used to reduce the temperature of the kettle and the appropriate amount of reflux to establish a distillation process that uses energy at all levels reasonably; as far as possible, instrument control or microcomputer automatic control systems are used to keep the equipment in the optimal load state.
Second, the production intensity is high. To increase the vapor-liquid flux per unit tower section, especially for the design of the tower, the relationship of its vapor-liquid ratio should be paid more attention to. One of the methods to make the equipment more compact and the production intensity and processing capacity can be improved is to use high-efficiency trays to replace the original old tower school (the tower body does not move).
Third, the drainage performance is good. While minimizing the fiber content in mature cormorants, the equipment must also be adapted to the distillation of solid-containing fermentation broth to minimize the number of shutdowns of the clearing tower.
Fourth, fully consider the amplification effect of the tower. Especially for tower equipment with an annual output of more than 15,000 tons, since the tower diameter is more than 1.5 meters, active and advanced measures must be taken for large diameter tower equipment to reduce the reduction in separation efficiency.
Fifth, the structure is simple and the cost is reduced. When the process conditions permit, a new type of tray with a simple structure and high efficiency is selected.

Steam distillation equipment
Water vapor distillation is a method used to disperse and purify liquid or solid organic compounds. It is often used in the following environments: (1) Some organic compounds with high boiling points can be dispersed with by-products during distillation under normal pressure.
