Dry Containers

Ordinary container, also known as dry cargo container. It is mainly used for shipment of miscellaneous goods, and is usually used to ship stationery, daily necessities, medicine, textiles, crafts, chemicals, hardware and electricity, electronic machinery, instruments and machine parts. In addition to frozen goods, live animals, and plants, dry cargo containers can be used for goods suitable for container transportation in terms of size and weight.

Definitions and materials

Ordinary cargo container refers to the general term for all other types of containers except special cargo containers and air containers that require temperature control cargo, liquid and gas cargo, bulk cargo, automobiles and live animals.

This kind of container has a very wide range of use, accounting for 70 ~ 80% of the total number of containers. It is commonly used in two types: 20 feet and 40 feet. Its structural characteristics are often closed, and there are usually box doors at one end or side.

Classification

Divided by purpose
According to different purposes, ordinary containers can be divided into general containers and special containers.

General container
Also known as dry cargo container or general cargo container, it refers to a fully enclosed container with rigid box top, side walls, end walls, and bottom walls, and at least one end wall has a box door. General purpose containers are suitable for most common cargo.

Special container
Refers to ordinary or cargo containers with unique structures to facilitate the loading and unloading of goods without end doors, or for special purposes such as ventilation, including ventilation containers, open-top containers, rack containers, and platform containers.

Divided by structure
The structure of ordinary cargo containers includes inner pillar type, outer pillar type, folding type and thin shell type.
