Automotive air conditioning evaporator

Air conditioner evaporator is a kind of evaporator. The role of the air conditioner evaporator is to use the liquid cryogenic refrigerant to easily evaporate under low pressure, transform it into steam and absorb the heat of the cooled medium to achieve the purpose of refrigeration.

Definitions and materials

Air conditioner evaporator is a kind of evaporator. The role of the air conditioner evaporator is to use the liquid cryogenic refrigerant to easily evaporate under low pressure, transform it into steam and absorb the heat of the cooled medium to achieve the purpose of refrigeration.

It relies on a fan to force the air in the warehouse to flow through the cooling pipes in the box for heat exchange to cool the air, thereby reducing the temperature of the warehouse. Among them, the refrigerant or refrigerant flowing in the exhaust pipe and cooling the air outside the pipe through the wall of the tube is called a dry cooler; the sprayed refrigerant liquid directly exchanges heat with the air is called a wet cooler; In addition to the cooling exhaust pipe, the hybrid cooler also has a spraying device for the refrigerant. Dry coolers commonly used in cold storage can be divided into ceiling type and floor type according to their installation position.

Classification

Depending on the type of cooling medium, the evaporator can be divided into two categories:
(1) An evaporator that cools a liquid refrigerant. Used to cool liquid refrigerants-water, brine or ethylene glycol solution. Such evaporators are commonly used in horizontal evaporators, vertical tube evaporators and spiral tube evaporators.

(2) Evaporator for cooling air. This type of evaporator has cooling pipes and coolers.

Horizontal evaporator
Its structure is basically similar to the horizontal shell and tube condenser. It can be divided into shell and tube evaporator and dry evaporator according to the liquid supply method. Horizontal shell and tube evaporators are widely used in closed brine circulation systems. Its main features are: compact structure, good contact between liquid and heat transfer surface, and high heat transfer coefficient.

Riser evaporator
The common point of the riser and spiral evaporators is that the refrigerant evaporates in the tube. The entire evaporator tube group is immersed in a container (or pool or tank) filled with refrigerant. Cycling at a certain speed, the box is welded with longitudinal partitions and equipped with a spiral mixer. The flow rate of the refrigerant is generally 0.3-0.7m / s to enhance heat transfer.
These two types of evaporators can only be used in open circulation systems, so the refrigerant must be non-volatile, usually salt water and water. If salt water is used, the evaporator tube is easily oxidized, and the salt water is easy to absorb moisture and reduce the concentration. These two evaporators can directly observe the flow of the refrigerant and are widely used in brine refrigeration systems using ammonia as the refrigerant.
