A series of devices used to change or maintain the direction of travel or reverse of a car is called a car steering system. The function of the car steering system is to control the direction of the car according to the driver’s wishes. The car steering system is very important to the driving safety of the car, so the parts of the car steering system are called security parts. Automobile steering system and braking system are two systems that must be paid attention to in car safety.
Automotive steering systems are divided into two categories: mechanical steering systems and power steering systems.
1) When the car is turning, all wheels should rotate around the instantaneous steering center. 2) Steering wheels have the ability to return to normal. 3) Under driving conditions, the steering wheel must not generate self-vibration and the steering wheel does not oscillate. 4) The motion generated by the steering transmission and the suspension guide is not coordinated, and the swing of the wheels should be minimized. 5) The steering is sensitive, and the minimum turning diameter is small. 6) Light operation. 7) The recoil from the steering wheel to the steering wheel should be as small as possible. 8) There should be a gap adjustment mechanism in the steering gear and steering transmission mechanism. 9) The steering system should be equipped with anti-injury devices that can prevent or reduce the driver’s injury. 10) The turning direction of the steering wheel is consistent with the change of the driving direction of the car.
